Poland is preparing the 46th military aid package for Ukraine, which is expected to arrive in the country this month.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing Ukraine's ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, in an interview with "Radio Free Europe."
According to the diplomat, in light of the recent statements from U.S. President Donald Trump, Poland and the EU are showing signs of solidarity with Ukraine.
The diplomat emphasized that "everyone understands the reality," where the threat of Russian aggression lies, and how support for Ukraine is necessary.
"We hope that not only words but also actions will be reflected in concrete assistance to Ukraine. Primarily, we are counting on further supplies of military equipment and armaments. As you know, Poland is preparing the 46th military aid package, which should arrive in Ukraine soon, specifically in February," Bodnar stated.
The ambassador added that Ukraine is also expecting assistance from other countries. In particular, work continues on the Czech initiative to supply artillery ammunition.
"There are many other initiatives that may not replace American aid, and we must understand that this is the largest assistance that has existed from partner and allied countries, but it will definitely help us survive at least these initial weeks and months of turbulence," he declared.
Since the onset of the full-scale war, Poland has been one of Ukraine's most active partners. Warsaw has provided the Ukrainian army with artillery, aviation, combat vehicles, ammunition, and other support.
However, over the past year, relations between Ukraine and Poland have somewhat "cooled." This is particularly due to historical disagreements related to the Volhynian tragedy, as well as disputes over the transfer of MiG-29s that were previously promised to Ukraine.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced a new aid package for Ukraine back in December 2024 during his visit to Lviv. According to him, the package was supposed to be ready in January.
