Poland has threatened to close all its consulates in Russia.

Poland will close all Russian Federation consulates within its borders if the occupying country continues to carry out acts of sabotage in Europe.
Польша предупредила Россию о возможном закрытии всех своих консульств на территории страны.

Poland will close all consulates of the Russian Federation (RF) in the country if the occupying nation continues to carry out acts of sabotage in Europe.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing The Guardian.

"I closed the consulate in Poznań. If they do not stop (carrying out sabotage in Europe, - ed.), we will close the rest," said Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski during a press conference.

Diplomatic Relations Between Poland and Russia

Diplomatic relations between Poland and Russia have significantly deteriorated since the onset of large-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2022. Poland has become one of Ukraine's leading allies, providing military, humanitarian, and political support. This, along with other events, has heightened tensions between Warsaw and Moscow.

In May 2022, Poland expelled several Russian diplomats, accusing them of espionage. Additionally, a significant number of economic and energy agreements with Russia were terminated.

Poland actively supports increasing sanctions pressure on the Kremlin and calls for a consolidated response from the international community. At the same time, the country openly welcomes Ukrainian refugees and fully supports Kyiv in its fight against the aggressor.

In October, a 51-year-old Ukrainian citizen in Poland confessed that "Russian services ordered him to set fire to Wrocław."
