The Lexus RC coupe made its debut in the fall of 2014, marking the entry of the Japanese brand into a new segment. The vehicle is built on the platform of the IS sedan, incorporating elements from the higher GS model. The coupe underwent a significant modernization in 2018, along with a series of minor updates, but it has not achieved market success.
This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing the press service of the company.
In the past decade, only 91,000 units have been sold worldwide, including 12,000 high-performance RC F versions. Lexus has decided to honor the RC with a special Final Edition variant, which debuted in Japan.
The farewell coupe features distinctive black side mirror housings, red brake components with the brand's logo, and unique 19-inch wheels from Enkei. The interior of the Final Edition comes with a black and red theme, utilizing suede and microfiber.
In Japan, the Lexus RC is offered exclusively with rear-wheel drive and includes four versions: RC 300 (2.0 L, 245 hp), RC 300h (hybrid, 223 hp), RC 350 (3.5 L, 318 hp), and RC F (5.0 L, 481 hp). The Final Edition is available for all four variants, but only the powerful V8 engine receives a commemorative plaque.
The farewell coupe can already be ordered in Japan, with prices starting at $43,000 for the RC 300 Final Edition. The top-of-the-line eight-cylinder RC F Final Edition is priced at $87,000, and its production is limited to just 200 units. Production of the less powerful variants is only time-restricted, with the end of manufacturing scheduled for November.
