A Russian soldier shot his commander due to torture within his unit. This incident occurred in the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing "ATESH."

According to "ATESH," the incident took place in the Russian 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade on January 14, near the settlement of Huliaipole. There, a mechanic-driver used a 5.45 mm Kalashnikov assault rifle to injure a sergeant and fatally shoot the commander of his grenade launcher platoon.

"The command of military unit 51460 is fearful of further attempts at reprisal against the officer and sergeant ranks - they are attempting to implement new restrictions on personal weapon control due to this incident," the report stated.

Russians claim that the conditions of service there are unbearable - they are constantly subjected to torture and intimidation, and their mobile phones are confiscated. Commanders demand bribes for everything and sometimes simply confiscate the salary cards of enlisted soldiers.

It is worth noting that in the 24-hour period from January 20 to 21, the Russians lost 1,600 soldiers on the front, around 300 units of equipment, and 130 drones.
