U.S. officials stated that Ukraine's need for military mobilization is greater than its need for new weapons.

Ukraine has already received a significant amount of various American weapons, yet it still finds itself in a challenging situation on the battlefield. The reason for this is mobilization issues.

This statement was made by U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing his interview with PBS News.

Specifically, Sullivan was asked what the U.S. could have done earlier to help Ukraine achieve victory sooner. In response, he noted that Ukraine has received tanks from the U.S., as well as approval for the transfer of F-16 fighter jets, HIMARS systems, and Patriot missiles.

"Ukraine finds itself in a more complex situation on the battlefield, which indicates that there is no direct line between these weapon systems and how they operate on the battlefield," he stated.

According to him, the most direct connection between Ukraine's achievements and contributions lies in mobilization and human resources. At the same time, he does not believe that if Ukraine had received permission for any of these weapon systems earlier, it would have significantly impacted the battlefield.

"Did we see a noticeable difference on the battlefield after we provided tanks to Ukraine? Similarly, did we notice a significant difference in the use of F-16 fighter jets? We believe that no single weapon system is decisive in this battle. It's about human resources, and in our opinion, Ukraine needs to do more to strengthen its position in terms of the number of forces it has on the front line," Sullivan said.

Mobilization in Ukraine

Earlier, we reported that Ukraine recently lowered the draft age from 27 to 25 years. This means that men can now be conscripted into the military starting at the age of 25.

Additionally, we mentioned that U.S. officials are seeking a decision from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on mobilization starting at age 18. However, he remains unyielding.
