The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that his administration will impose a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada, starting February 1. This was reported by The Hill.
“We are considering 25 percent for Mexico and Canada,” said Trump when asked about tariffs concerning these two countries.
“I think we will do this on February 1,” he added regarding the timeline.
Additionally, as reported by The Judicial and Legal Newspaper, Donald Trump signed an executive order on the first day following his inauguration, which suspends all U.S. foreign aid programs for 90 days pending reviews to determine whether they align with his political objectives.
