The government has expanded the benefits of a reduced tariff, allowing consumers to pay less for their electricity.

Consumers utilizing electric heating systems will now only pay the full rate for electricity consumption that exceeds the limit of 2,000 kWh. For the remaining electricity used, they will be charged at a rate of 2.64 UAH. As noted by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the Government has made this decision.

According to him, during the heating season, the electricity tariff for the population is set at 4.32 UAH per kWh. A preferential rate of 2.64 UAH is also available for those using electric heating systems.

“Up until today, this applied to those who consume up to 2,000 kWh of electricity per month. However, many people exceed this limit and have been forced to pay the full rate,” the Prime Minister stated.

As a result, the Government has adopted a resolution to differentiate the preferential tariff through the mechanism of PSO.
