A man updated his information but received a fine from the TCC. Which side did the court support?

In the Kharkiv region, a conscript appealed to the court after receiving a fine from the Territorial Recruitment Center. The man was fined 17,000 hryvnias for allegedly failing to appear for a summons to update his information, even though his details had already been updated in the "Reserve+" system. The court overturned this ruling, deeming the fine unjustified.

According to the materials of the Bohodukhiv District Court of Kharkiv region in case No. 613/18/25, the plaintiff proved that he had not received the summons either personally or by mail. He only learned of its existence from his father, who received a call from the police informing him that the man was wanted.

The conscript noted that:

• He had served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2015 and rejoined the military during the state of martial law.
• In July 2024, he registered for military service and updated his details.
• He had no intention of evading his duties.

The court found that the Territorial Recruitment Center did not clarify which specific information the man had failed to update and why he was summoned. Consequently, the fine ruling was annulled.
