The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Serhiy Boiev met with a delegation led by former CIA Director David Petraeus to discuss enhancing the country's defense capabilities. During the meeting, issues of security, the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the capabilities of the Ukrainian defense industry were addressed, as reported by the Ministry of Defense.

Boiev briefed the American analysts on the operational situation at the front and the current requirements of the Defense Forces for armaments.

“The Ukrainian defense industry has grown more than 20 times since the onset of the full-scale invasion, and we can produce a wide range of items independently. However, to meet the critical needs of the Defense Forces, we continue to rely on support from partners, including the United States,” Boiev noted.

Particular attention was given to the supply of air defense systems, missile armaments, and the development of cooperation with the American defense industry. The prospects for creating joint ventures and technology exchanges within the NATO training mission were also discussed.

According to the Ministry of Defense, both the Ukrainian and American sides agreed on the importance of strengthening Ukraine's own defense capabilities, the necessity of uniting European countries around a common threat, and supporting close cooperation with the United States.
