The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has signed an executive order to withdraw the country from the World Health Organization (WHO). The order has been published on the White House website.
With this order, President Trump has directed to suspend any upcoming transfer of funds, support, or resources to the WHO from the U.S. government; to withdraw and reassign personnel or contractors of the U.S. government working in any capacity with the WHO; and to identify international partners who could take on the necessary activities previously carried out by the WHO.
Donald Trump is also initiating the withdrawal of the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement, which includes measures to combat climate change. The new administration will review carbon emission restrictions and eliminate tax incentives for electric vehicles.
As previously written, “Judicial and Legal Newspaper” reported, after taking the oath as the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump announced a series of executive orders that he claims are a “revolution of common sense.”
