In Kyiv, a tram fatally struck a pedestrian in the Svyatoshyn district.

A tram in Kyiv fatally struck a person. According to the police, the incident occurred on the evening of February 22 at 6:20 PM on Lesya Kurbas Avenue.

Preliminary information indicates that the driver of the public transport vehicle ran over an unidentified man, approximately 30 years old, who was on the tracks. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and authorities are working to establish his identity.

Investigators are looking into all circumstances surrounding the incident as part of a criminal case initiated under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules.
