In Kyiv, the oldest McDonald's in Ukraine was damaged due to a missile strike.

On January 18, during an airstrike by Russian forces, the McDonald's restaurant located near the "Lukyanivska" metro station in Kyiv was damaged. This was the first establishment of the chain in Ukraine, which opened in 1997.

According to the company's press service, the staff managed to evacuate to safety in time thanks to safety protocols. The restaurant has ceased operations, but efforts to address the aftermath of the attack have already begun. McDonald's has promised to restore the restaurant at Lukyanivka so that it can once again be available to visitors.
