The Ministry of Defense has revealed the top 7 military specialties for new recruits.

Since the beginning of the year, over 35,000 Ukrainians have reached out to recruitment centers.

Among the servicemen joining the Ukrainian Defense Forces through recruitment centers, the most sought-after specialties are those related to drones (UAVs), driving, and shooting. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

As of mid-January 2025, the top 7 specialties are distributed as follows:

UAVs - 16%;
drivers - 16%;
shooters - 15%;
staff positions - 9%;
artillerymen - 6%;
medics (combat medics, paramedics, doctors) - 5%;
communication specialists and cybersecurity experts - 5%.

During the past week, 1,282 individuals approached recruitment centers. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 35,337 citizens have taken advantage of this opportunity, of which 7,800 have already become candidates for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

“The main advantage of joining the defense of Ukraine through recruitment centers is the ability to choose a specialty based on the candidate's desires and abilities. Additionally, future defenders will receive an expanded package of benefits and social guarantees. State support also extends to the families of servicemen,” emphasized the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhiy Melnyk.

Currently, there are 47 recruitment centers operating in Ukraine, offering over 10,000 vacancies in the Armed Forces, National Guard, State Border Service, and Security Service. Consultations are provided confidentially.
