As of the morning of February 23, the air pollution level in the capital is average on the right bank and very high on the left bank. The radiation background across the city is normal. This was reported by the KCCA.
They noted that the likely reason for the increase in pollution levels is the accumulation of suspended particles (dust), as the calm weather under high atmospheric pressure does not promote the dispersion of pollutants.
Therefore, residents of the left bank are advised to take the following measures to improve air quality:
- close windows;
- limit outdoor activities;
- drink plenty of water;
- if there is an air purifier, turn it on to maximum.
