On the morning of Thursday, February 13, two drones were found in southern Moldova. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova urgently summoned the Russian ambassador.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the police of Moldova on Telegram.
According to the police of Moldova, two more unmanned aerial vehicles were discovered in the southern part of the country. One was located in an agricultural field near the village of Chumay in the Taraclia district, while the other exploded in a field approximately 1.5 kilometers from Ceadîr-Lunga.
Experts from the police's explosives department are on-site. They are conducting an investigation, after which the drones will be thoroughly examined. Preliminary data suggests that fragments found in Ceadîr-Lunga belong to a Russian drone.
The areas have been cordoned off, and the danger to civilians in the vicinity has been ruled out.

This occurred following a series of explosions near the checkpoint.
It is also known that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses deep concern and strongly condemns the repeated violations of national airspace by drones launched after Russian attacks on infrastructure in southern Ukraine," the statement reads.
Moldova considers such actions a violation of its sovereignty and a risk to peace and security in the region.
"We reiterate our firm call for an immediate cessation of these aggressive actions and strict adherence to international law," the Ministry stated.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu confirmed on Twitter that Shahed-type drones violated the country's airspace. Two of them exploded on Moldovan territory, endangering the lives of Moldovans.
"Russia disrespects borders, attacks civilians, spreads terror. Its war against Ukraine is criminal. Leave us, peaceful nations, alone," she wrote.
It should be noted that this is not the first instance since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine when Russian drones have violated the airspace of other countries.
Last year, at least five such incidents were recorded. In particular, on November 10, two drones were discovered in Moldova, which entered during another Russian attack. At that time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova also strongly condemned Russia's actions. And in December 2024, a passerby found a drone near one of the shopping centers in the capital of Moldova - Chișinău.
Additionally, the last time an unidentified drone was found in Moldova was on Wednesday, February 12. The drones were located near the border with Ukraine.
