In Transcarpathia, a man who was brought in for a military medical commission allegedly broke into the office of the head of the territorial recruitment center, stealing 27 thousand euros before fleeing through a window. This was reported on Telegram by MP Olga Vasylevska-Smahliuk.

"A former recidivist, who was brought to the military medical commission, picked the lock of the office door and stealthily entered the office of the head of the recruitment center, from where he stole 27 thousand euros and then escaped through the window," she explained.

According to her information, the head of the recruitment center stated that he had been collecting this money to purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Vasylevska-Smahliuk added that the police have launched a manhunt for the fugitive. A "Intercept" plan has been activated in the region.

The spokesperson for the National Police in the Transcarpathian region, Anna Dan, informed UNIAN that no one has reported the theft of funds from the recruitment center to the police.

After some time, the MP deleted her post from Telegram where she discussed the incident.

Later, there was a response from the Transcarpathian Territorial Recruitment Center and the Social Security on the information that was made public.

"Information about the theft of a 'large sum of money' from an unnamed recruitment center in the Transcarpathian region is rapidly spreading on social media. We officially declare that there is no confirmation of the mentioned information, and the publication itself is a complete lie," the recruitment center stated.

Attack on Recruitment Center Workers in Kharkiv

On January 13, a conflict occurred in Kharkiv between civilians and employees of the recruitment center who were transporting mobilized individuals in a vehicle.

According to police reports, a civilian vehicle blocked the path of the recruitment center's minibus. Two men and a woman exited the vehicle. One of them was armed with a pistol. They shattered the window of the recruitment center's vehicle and started fighting with the staff.

Media reports indicate that as a result of the vehicle damage, the mobilized individuals were able to exit the vehicle.

The police have detained one of the attackers on the recruitment center staff.
