During the terrorist attack that took place in the center of Mykolaiv on February 14, three servicemen lost their lives. This was reported by the Center for Mine Action.
"With deep sorrow and pain in our hearts, we announce the tragic loss of three servicemen from the Center for Mine Action, who gave their lives while fulfilling their military duty to the Motherland. As a result of this brutal terrorist act, Ukraine has lost courageous warriors and devoted defenders of its land," the statement reads.
The victims of the explosion in the center of Mykolaiv were Vadym Eliseev, Elena Klyuchnikova, and Yevhen Syryk.
"The names of the fallen will forever remain in our memory as symbols of bravery, honor, and self-sacrifice. The servicemen selflessly ensured the safety of the citizens of Ukraine by neutralizing the mine threat and saving the lives of civilians and their fellow soldiers. Their contribution to the defense of the country is invaluable, and their sacrifice is timeless," the statement continues.
It was also reported that families have been left without breadwinners, and people are being asked to join the fundraising efforts for the families of the deceased.

The Center for Countering Disinformation reported that enemy Telegram channels are spreading fake news claiming that the explosion in Mykolaiv was allegedly an act of revenge against the employees of the TCK and SP by one of the deceased for the mobilization of her son. After verifying the information with the National Police of Ukraine, the center stated that the deceased did not have sons of conscription age. However, she did have two sons born in 2001 and 2011. After verifying the identity of the older son, it was found that he is not a serviceman.
Social media also reports that the terrorist, who died in the explosion, allegedly came to Mykolaiv from Poltava region and left a child at a hostel who was waiting for her return.
