In the Odessa region, a young man was detained for spying for Russia while posing as a woman. He adopted his role much like the character from the famous comedy "Tootsie," who transformed into a woman in search of work.

According to the press service of the Odessa regional prosecutor's office, a 26-year-old resident of the city of Izmail established contact via a messenger with a representative of the Russian Federation's special services and agreed to cooperate. He was supposed to provide information about military facilities in the Izmail district in exchange for money.

The traitor consistently dressed in women's clothing and grew long hair. Based on photos released by law enforcement, the young man even dyed his "hairstyle" and had a professional manicure—during his arrest, his very long (possibly extended) nails were painted black:

"To gather the 'necessary' information, the associate of the aggressor, dressed in women's clothing, traversed the area and secretly recorded Ukrainian objects, then transmitted a 'report' to his handler in the form of text messages, photographs, and markings on electronic maps."

During a search, authorities confiscated a mobile phone containing relevant evidence. He was informed of suspicion regarding treason (part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and was placed in custody without the right to bail.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the detainee adjusted Russian missile and artillery strikes on local Defense Forces locations. Among the enemy's potential targets were bases of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service, and border guards in the Izmail area. The young man chose to cooperate with the occupiers for financial gain. He faces life imprisonment with asset confiscation.

Detention of Russian Spies

As reported by UNIAN, earlier in Ukraine, Russian agents were detained who "camouflaged" themselves using their own child.

They created an explosive device for a terrorist attack near the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center in Dnipro. As a result of the explosion, one person was killed, and several others were injured.
