Ukrainian forces have lost ground in the Novopavlivka direction, and efforts are underway to stabilize the situation.

Russians continue to assault the positions of Ukrainian troops in the Novopavlivske direction. As a result of the assault operations and artillery fire, some of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed.

According to the OSHV, Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defense, eliminating the superior forces of the occupiers in the Novopavlivske direction. In an attempt to regain lost ground near Zelenivka, the invaders tried to deliver assault groups by vehicles. The outcome of our artillery and drone operators' efforts resulted in two destroyed vehicles along with their personnel.

Near Novy Komar, a fire strike was delivered against an enemy column consisting of two tanks and two armored vehicles, forcing the enemy to abandon further offensive actions.

In the area of Constantinople, our soldiers destroyed six enemy buggies and three motorcycles, and near Novosilka - one tank and two armored vehicles. However, as a result of the assault operations and artillery fire, some of our positions were destroyed. Measures are currently being taken to prevent a deterioration of the tactical situation.

As a reminder, according to the General Staff, over the past day from February 16 to 17, the Russian army has lost 1,530 soldiers in the war against Ukraine, along with more than 50 armored fighting vehicles and 149 units of automotive equipment.
