The police at Manchester Airport arrested a 50-year-old woman who behaved aggressively and inappropriately during a flight on easyJet from Belfast. The passenger was shouting racist insults at other travelers, causing tension and outrage, reports Manchester Evening News.

Witnesses report that the situation escalated mid-flight. According to 44-year-old Shauna Corr, the woman made "vicious and racist" comments, particularly towards Muslims and Ukrainians.

"Her speech was unacceptable. I feel very sorry for the couple with children who were sitting nearby," Shauna recounted.

Footage from the plane shows other passengers attempting to stop the woman, demanding that she cease the insults. A flight attendant intervened, warning her that police would be called if her aggressive behavior continued. Despite this, the woman persisted in her outbursts.

The incident concluded after the plane landed in Manchester: the police boarded and arrested the woman. Shauna also noted that the woman stole Tayto chips, refusing to pay for them.

A representative from easyJet commented on the incident:

"Our crew is trained to respond effectively to such situations to ensure the safety of passengers and staff. While such cases are rare, we do not tolerate them and always act accordingly."

The Greater Manchester Police confirmed that around 20:50 on January 17, they were notified about a woman behaving aggressively on board the aircraft. The 50-year-old passenger was arrested on suspicion of being intoxicated on board. She is currently in custody for questioning.

Other Incidents Involving Ukrainians Abroad

As reported by UNIAN, a theater in Poland offended a Ukrainian woman who experienced occupation. This concerns Ukrainian illustrator Daria Zimenko. According to her, the organizers of the readings, to which the woman was invited, did not aim to remind the world of the crimes of the occupiers but to call for reconciliation of "brotherly nations".

It was also reported that in Germany, a 19-year-old Afghan attacked a Ukrainian woman with a knife, resulting in serious injuries. According to police, the perpetrator and the victim were not acquainted with each other.
